I am the Way - Vacation Bible School

Each year much planning goes into making our Vacation Bible School (VBS) successful.  This year is no different. We invite your children, neighborhood children - all children ages 2-11 - to enroll in four days of action-packed fun this summer.

I am the Way promises Bible stories, music, crafts and other fun sensory-related acitivites to realy the Word of God.  The program runs from Tuesday, July 15 to Friday, July 18 from 9:30 a.m. to noon each day.

The cost is $10 for each child registered before June 30; the price is $20 for those registered after June 30.

The fun culminates with a hotdog dinner for family and friends on Friday, July 18 in the Murray Center from 6-8 p.m.  As the final topping for this great event there will be an ice cream social on Sunday, July 20 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:3 0 p.m.

As an added convenience, this year's Fun 'N Games school program will coordinate with our VBS so that your child(ren) will have care before and after our VBS program.

Please call Lisa Higgins, 832.250.4689 or Michelle Graves, 713.668.1018, for more information.

Welcome To St. Thomas'

In a Houston neighborhood across from a busy shopping center near a well-traveled freeway is an Episcopal parish — St. Thomas' — devoted to the service of God and to the spiritual growth and nourishment of His children in consonance with the traditions of Anglican Christianity — a Way of being a Christian that is both Catholic and Reformed.

Here is a local church that has not abandoned her roots — roots that stretch through 2,000 years of history to the time of Jesus Christ and back further to ancient of days. Her teaching is rooted firmly in the rock of holy scripture, her worship uses the great historic liturgies and music of the Anglican churches, eschewing the mundane and trendy, and her service extends into the community of which she is a part, while sharing the love of God that is her heritage with the people of today.

Because people come to St. Thomas' from many backgrounds, the parish offers different points of entry into her life and work. For the committed christian, there are ample opportunities for praise, worship and study. For the person seeking to learn about Jesus Christ there are inquirers' classes and christian education. The lonely or weary have many opportunities for fellowship and service. Throughout the week we welcome quiet prayer and contemplation to individuals or groups.

We invite you to join us as we worship, pray, teach and learn, and give service to God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit!
